These handlebars are unbelievably strong. This is my second set of handlebars - a direct replacement to my first one. I replaced them because, despite using a torque wrench, I had created some flaking and some indentations on the surface, leading to believe that I had hindered the structural integrity of the bars themselves. I thought maybe I had the torque setting too high - my fault. I ordered another set. When the new ones came and I swapped them out, I took the old ones off and, at the spot on the bars where I had the flaking and indentation, I beat it against and concrete edge to see how easily the would break.
