The DCB Carbon MTB Wheels XC/Trail with Novatec Hubs are our most affordable race wheels for your XC/Trail rig.

These wheels are available with Six XC/Trail Rim Options so you can have the depth, height, profile, and weight that you want! Three of the options have upgrade costs (See wheel options below with price and weight).

The Novatec 791/792 hubs provide a quality, light, and affordable XC/Trail hub available in all spacings.

The Spokes are available with standard Pillar P14 Straight Gauge Spokes or upgraded ($60) PIllar X-TRA 1420 spokes

Solid wheels. Novatec hubs are decent and parts are everywhere. 1500 grams thereabouts, and can take a beating.

I’ve now owned 4 pairs of these “race” wheels. Solid! I have ridden and raced them hard and I have never had any issues. Highly recommend unless you want to pay double if not triple.

I bought a set of these to convert my Salsa Timberjack 27.5 to a rigid 29er with a set of these wheels and a DIY Whiskey style rigid carbon fork. These wheels (30mm internal ID rims laced to Novatec hubs) allowed my to dump quite a bit of rotating weight for less than $600. That's pretty impressive for the weight and build quality. These wheels work really well for rigid urban grocery-getter duty, especially when paired with the DIY carbon fork and 1.75 commuter tires. They helped make the bike more agile and improved efficiency/speed quite a bit. And they're beefy enough that I don't have to worry about bashing the occasional curb. I've got about 70 - 80 miles on them so far, and have had zero issues. Easy to mount, and they haven't lost any air since I set them up tubeless with 1.75" Continental Ride Tour + tires. I don't think you can find a better set of wheels for the price. Highly recommended!

Finally upgraded my Hard Tail XC bike with Stans Crest Wheels to a DCB Full Suspension frame with these wheels. The new FS build is 2 lbs lighter than my Hard Tail and faster. Best bike purchase I've made in years especially paired with the SRAM AXS system.

Purchased a set of the 35 i29 wheels with the lighter bladed spokes for my wife’s nukeproof reactor. They took about a month to get and so far we are very pleased with them. I took her bike for a trail ride and was expecting the lighter wheels to make a difference but I was very surprised how much different lighters wheels were on the trail. I was much less fatigued at the end of climbs. The set is about 500 grams lighter than her previous dt swiss e1500’s. I hit a couple small jumps and drops and they handled it fine. I’m considering getting a set for my bike now for sure.

Went with the widest option at 35mm and standard spokes. The wheels came in lighter than I expected at 1630g. Been riding on them for two seasons and the wheels feel great! Definitely strong and I think now that these wheels have won my trust I'm going to sell these and upgrade to a lighter set.
